WELCOME TO TE AO MARAMA

Our Kupu Whakakitenga (vision) is to be a beacon of hope – primarily, but not exclusively – to Maori and Pacific People within every area of society and to be a Turangawaewae (platform) for Maori and Pacific cultural expressions and etiquette.
We want to see Pacific people, European New Zealanders, Asians and others woven together, highlighting the strengths in both our commonality and uniqueness.
Tūrangawaewae is one of the most well-known and powerful Māori concepts. Literally tūranga (standing place), waewae (feet), it is often translated as “a place to stand”. Tūrangawaewae are places where we feel especially empowered and connected. They are our foundation, our place in the world, our home. This is our dream for Te Ao Marama.

Te Ao Marama also refers to a wider group of ministries that gather together in our community including:

Kings Kids
Across Ministries
Intercorean
Nation Changers DTS
Bridge to Asia Ministries
Whaia Te Matauranga
Polynesian International
